September is still hot in the south.
The other months are cold, but the beginning of spring in May is a very beautiful month because the flowers start to bloom and everything becomes colorful.
Autumn is spectacular because the trees change color, but you can already feel the cold coming.
The winter months are great for snow activities, such as skiing.
  • Security: Canada is one of the safest countries in the world and the few pockets of crime are greatest on the outskirts of the country’s three big cities – Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
Unlike the US, few Canadians carry guns, muggings are uncommon and, even in the cities, street crime is rare.
  • Transportation: Outside the big cities, getting around Canada by public transport can be complicated.
Train services are limited to a few routes and, although buses are much more plentiful and cheaper, stations and bus stops can be kilometers away from accommodation.
Flying is much more expensive, so the vast majority of visitors prefer to rent cars.
  • Socket type: 110/120 volts – type A and B
